~ About neptune naturopathy ~
I believe your health journey is deeply personal — and that feeling heard, understood and supported can be just as important as the treatment itself. My approach is about looking beyond the symptoms, understanding the bigger picture and working with you to create a path towards feeling more like yourself again.

I believe we are so much more than our symptoms, diagnoses or what can be measured on a blood test.
We are whole beings — physical, mental, emotional, energetic and spiritual — and our health is deeply connected to the lives we live. Stress, relationships, experiences, beliefs, environment and lifestyle can all leave their imprint.
I believe the body is always communicating with us. A symptom isn’t always something to silence; sometimes it’s an invitation to slow down, listen and become curious about what’s happening underneath.
Science matters. My nursing background means I value evidence, clinical reasoning and understanding what’s happening physiologically. But I also believe there are parts of being human that science can’t always measure — our emotions, experiences, intuition, energy and connection with ourselves and the world around us.
I’ll ask questions, get curious and look for connections between your symptoms, your health and the life you’re living. We’ll focus on changes that feel realistic and sustainable, rather than trying to overhaul everything at once.
I see naturopathic care as a partnership — grounded in science, guided by curiosity and open to the whole human being.
Because we are more than our biology. And I think our healthcare should reflect that.

I think the edge I have is that I've worked on both sides of healthcare.
As a nurse, trauma-informed care wasn't a concept I read about — it was something I practised every single shift. I've held space for people in crisis, in pain, and in some of the most frightening moments of their lives. That decade of clinical experience gave me something no textbook could: the ability to really read a room, to notice what someone isn't saying, and to meet people with steadiness when they need it most.
Completing my Masters of Naturopathic Medicine let me bring that clinical instinct into a space where I could finally ask the deeper questions — not just what is happening in the body, but why, and what it's been trying to communicate all along. Each layer has made me a better practitioner. All of it shows up in the room with you.

I work best with people who are ready to be an active part of their own health journey.
You don’t need to have everything figured out or be perfect. I just ask that you come with curiosity, a willingness to try things and a commitment to doing the work between appointments.
Because there’s no magic pill, perfect supplement or one-off consultation that can do it all for you. Your health is shaped by the little things that happen over time — what you eat, how you sleep, how you move, how you manage stress, your relationships, your environment and more.
I also believe health is a journey, not a destination. There will be good weeks, frustrating weeks and unexpected detours. That’s normal.
I’d much rather help you make small, realistic changes that fit your life than hand you a 20-step protocol you’ll abandon two weeks later.
If you’re looking for a quick fix or someone to simply tell you what’s wrong, I might not be your person.
But if you’re curious about your body, want to understand the why behind what you’re experiencing and are willing to work together to create meaningful change — I think we’ll get along just fine.

I’m not one of those practitioners with a perfectly curated niche who only sees one type of person with one type of problem. Honestly, I’m still figuring out exactly where my niche will land — and I’m okay with that.
What I do know is that I love working with people who are curious about their health, want to understand the why behind what they’re experiencing, and are ready to look a little deeper than the obvious symptom.
There are a few areas I naturally find myself drawn to:
Gut health
If I had to pick one area I could happily rabbit-hole into forever, it would probably be the gut. Digestion, immunity, hormones, skin, mood and nutrient absorption can all intersect here. I love looking at what your gut might be telling us and how we can support it.
Women’s health
As a woman myself, this one is particularly close to my heart. Women’s health has historically been under-researched and women are still too often told that what they’re experiencing is simply “normal.”
I want to create space for women to feel heard and taken seriously, while exploring the bigger picture around hormones, menstrual health, energy, stress, skin, digestion and the changes that come with different stages of life.
Men’s health
I also want to create more space for men within naturopathy. The natural health world can sometimes feel very female-focused, and I’d love for men to feel just as welcome to be curious about their health and explore what’s going on beneath the surface.
Mental & emotional wellbeing
I believe mental and emotional wellbeing is a huge foundation of our overall health. When we’re not okay mentally or emotionally, it can ripple into our sleep, energy, digestion, hormones and everyday life.
Sometimes life is simply hard — but I also believe there can be physical and physiological factors influencing how we feel, and they deserve to be part of the conversation.
ADHD & neurodivergence
This is an area I have a particular personal interest in. Having ADHD closely in my life has given me a genuine appreciation for how differently the brain and body can operate — and how frustrating it can be when standard health advice doesn’t fit.
I’m particularly interested in the foundations around nutrition, sleep, stress, energy, digestion and overall wellbeing.
Skin health
I’ve quite literally had skin in the game with this one. Having experienced acne myself, I know skin concerns can be about much more than appearance.
I love looking beyond the skin and exploring the connections between digestion, hormones, nutrition, stress and lifestyle.
Thyroid health
The thyroid fascinates me because of how much it can influence the way you feel — from energy and mood to metabolism, temperature regulation and digestion.
I enjoy looking at the bigger picture rather than viewing one marker or symptom in isolation.
Healthcare workers
This one is personal. After over a decade in healthcare, I know how much can be expected of the people who spend their days caring for everyone else.
Long shifts, emotional load and constantly putting yourself last can take a real toll. I have a particular soft spot for healthcare workers because I’ve been there.
You spend so much of your career looking after everyone else — you deserve someone in your corner looking after you, too.
And honestly? A little bit of everything else.
I’m interested in people, not just conditions. So if what you’re experiencing isn’t listed above, that doesn’t mean I’m not interested in working with you.
Book a connection call and we can chat about what’s going on and whether I’m the right person to help.
Sometimes the most interesting cases are the ones that don’t fit neatly into a box.
The common thread is simple: I want to understand what’s going on underneath the surface, connect the dots and work out where we can start.
I don’t currently specialise in working with children, but I’m happy to work with adults across a broad range of health concerns.

I’ve spent over a decade working as a Registered Nurse — and for much of that time, I was quietly struggling myself.
Acne I couldn’t shift. Fatigue that followed me home from every shift. Anxiety that could feel overwhelming. Burnout I kept pushing through because, well… that’s what you do when people are counting on you.
On the outside, I was caring for everyone else. On the inside, I was exhausted and wondering why I didn’t feel like myself.
Leaving nursing was a decision I made for myself. I needed more than a different job — I wanted a different lifestyle, with more balance, time and space to actually look after myself.
I didn’t have a grand plan. I just knew I needed to put my own wellbeing first.
That’s when I found naturopathy. Honestly, I barely knew what it was. I went in on a gut feeling, half expecting I might become some kind of fairy mixing potions. And, well… I wasn’t entirely wrong.
But during my Master of Naturopathic Medicine, I discovered something much bigger: science, research and clinical reasoning alongside a broader way of looking at health.
It changed how I understood the body and made me curious about the why behind what we experience.
I believe naturopathy has an important place in evidence-based healthcare, while also recognising that we’re more than our physical biology. Our emotional, mental, energetic and physical worlds can all influence how we experience health and healing.
That curiosity has led me to explore perspectives beyond my formal training, including kinesiology and homeopathy. I don’t currently practise kinesiology, but it reinforced something I’ve come to believe deeply: our physical and emotional worlds aren’t always as separate as we think.
I’m also a firm believer in staying curious. Finishing a degree doesn’t mean you stop learning. There’s always another question, perspective or piece of research to explore.
Ultimately, I believe you can’t always understand the body by looking at the body alone. Our experiences, stress, emotions, beliefs, environment and lifestyle all become part of the picture.
I know what it feels like to wonder why you don’t feel like yourself, to try everything and still feel stuck, and to just want someone to actually listen.
I want to be the kind of practitioner I wish I’d had.
Because sometimes, feeling better starts with simply feeling heard.

Outside the clinic, you’ll usually find me with a dog nearby — or, more accurately, several dogs. I have my own and also foster, so there’s rarely a dull moment (or a clean floor).
I love anything creative — arts and crafts, cooking without a recipe, making things and trying something new. I’m a big believer in hobbies that get you out of your head and back into your body, especially when life gets busy.
Give me a beach, some sunshine and a bit of nature and I’m pretty happy. There’s something about getting outside that makes everything feel a little simpler.
This is a big part of why I found naturopathy. It wasn’t just the health journey I was looking for — it was the lifestyle change I was craving. A reminder that wellbeing isn’t just about what happens in a consultation; it’s about creating a life that actually feels good to live.
I’m still building my dream of a slower, more grounded life — a home in nature, a bit of land to potter around on, dogs underfoot, something growing or cooking in the kitchen, and plenty of space to breathe.
For me, it’s about living in alignment — creating a life that reflects what I value and what makes me feel like myself. I don’t want wellbeing to just be something I talk about in the clinic. I want to live it, too.
After spending so much of my life caring for others, I know how important it is to make space for yourself, too.
And honestly, it’s a privilege to do this work. Being trusted with someone’s health journey is something I never take lightly.

The name actually found me.
When I first started thinking about what I wanted to call my practice, I had a whole list of names written down. I was looking for something that felt flowy, vibrant, golden, and a little bit magical — something that felt alive rather than overly clinical.
I took the list on a walk with a friend and started reading the names out to her as we walked. We chatted about each one, but when I got to Neptune, something shifted. It just felt different. I couldn't really explain why — it just felt right.
There was also a personal connection. Neptune is in Capricorn in my natal chart, which, in astrology, speaks to bringing dreams and ideals into something tangible — creating work that has purpose and meaning. That really resonated with me because I know I need meaning in what I do. I need to feel like my work matters.
And naturopathy does.
There’s something about watching someone slowly reconnect with their body, understand what’s been going on and start to feel like themselves again that genuinely lights me up. Helping someone reignite their vitality feels like the kind of work I could never get bored of.
I also have this quiet feeling that I was always going to end up here. Like this work found me for a reason. Maybe that's a little spiritual, maybe it's intuition, maybe it's just that feeling you get when something falls into place in a way you can't quite explain.
So, naturally, I asked for a sign.
We finished our walk, got back to the car and went to leave...
We were parked on Neptune Street.
Neptune it is.
